Christmas

This is Quinn's first outfit of the day- her nighties

This is Quinn's Christmas outfit- my favorite sweater of her.
Yes, she is playing with a UFC DVD. haha
Here she is climbing

Quinn playing with her Great Grandpa!
(in her 3rd outfit of the day and hair pulled out and I am sure with food in it.
She likes to pull her hair when she is feeding herself. nice) Quinn and her Aunt Tracy
This was Quinn's 2nd Christmas and boy oh boy she loved it. Last Christmas she was pretty out of it and had no idea what was going on, but this Christmas she had so much fun. We watched Christmas movies and opened gifts. My Mom came up to visit so Quinn had a living play toy for the week too :) Quinn opened her gifts and got all toys... all toys that light up and make lots of noise... yippy for her but not so great for me. She likes to sit with all of her toys in a circle and play them all at the same time. Then she dances to the lovely collection of sound and claps a few times. Very cute (the first few times anyway) :) She is now SO VERY active. She loves to crawl everywhere and pull herself up to stand. She is also cruising on the couches which is so great. For PT we now have to work on squating. ok, do you know how hard it is to make a little kid squat??? yeah, not so easy but we are working on it. Squating will help Quinn build muscle so that she will be strong enough to walk. She has low muscle tone and well, likes to be balled up or cuddling with people but not exercising. Her therapist is VERY PLEASED with how Quinn is developing and well, I couldn't be happier.

Anyway, back to Christmas...

Dan, Quinn, my Mom and myself went to Dover and ate dinner with my Grandpa, Tracy, Lisa, Rachel, Rich and a bunch of other family. Sally has accepted Dan into the family too. She smacked him a few times and while he was a little scared, that just means that she likes you. (For those that don't know, Sally is my Aunt that is mentally handicapped and deaf.) Sally also remembered Quinn and her name. She signed it Q-u-n-n but that is close enough!!! Then we went over to visit with Dad and Annette for a little bit. It was a lot of fun but a rather short visit. We are going back to their house this weekend to do the "real Christmas". It is hard to be with everyone that you love on such a special day. Oh, and Quinn LOVES all of the toys that her Uncle Rich got her. He is the connoisseur of toddler toys. HA

So my Mom will kill me for posting this picture but it is so cute, I couldn't resist!
Nap time for the young and old! ha

She LOVES this phone!

Anyway, I will post more pictures after this weekend with Dad and Annette!

Dan is on CNN

Ok so Dan is involved with the American Red Cross and the Cards for Wounded Soldiers. Dan screens ALL of the cards for biohazards (through his job at Pitney Bowes) and then sends them to the Red Cross to be opened and then screened for appropriateness. Well he has been volunteering on weekends to help open and screen the cards. CNN did a story on it and you can see Dan a few times.

Hair hair hair

So I noticed that I didn't put up a picture of my new haircut (bangs) on here. (and that the only pictures that you could see it in was with me frozen and soggy from my snowboarding attempt) So here is a picture of the new reddish hair with bangs. fun fun ... I love changing my hairstyle. It seems like just as soon as Dan gets used to something, I change it :)

This other picture is one of Dan when he HAD hair. He now does the buzz cut because it is so easy and quick. But he used to have hair. Plus, I just love this picture of him. It is from late 2005 I think.

14 month visit

Quinn just went in to the Dr for her 14 month visit and to check up on her head size. Quinn's head circumference-for-age is in the 93 percentile and it is steadily growing. We have to go back in 3 weeks to get it checked out again. Hopefully it will stop growing so she doesn't have to get a CAT scan :(

Quinn is now 29 inches and in the 20th percentile for length for age.

Quinn weighs 21lbs and is in the 28th percentile for weight for age. Her weight for length around the 65th percentile.

Quinn has another ear infection. I just don't know how she is getting them. Even with the infection though, she is a happy little girl. She is still getting physical therapy and going to yoga. She can now pull herself up to a stand and she can walk with assistance! GOOOOO QUINNY!

Snowboarding Vacation

These two pictures were on the way to the resort.
Dan and I took a mini vacation to West Virginia. (Snowshoe) I tried to learn how to snowboard. It was a little difficult since it was raining and foggy the whole time that we were there. That is why there aren't any pictures of us on the mountain. We still had a lot of fun and it was such a nice get away. Quinn went and stayed with her MomMom and PopPop. She also had a lot of fun. While I didn't quite get the hang of snowboarding, I only have a few bruises so I think that it was successful!

This was our favorite place to hang out and have our morning coffee. It was so nice and warm and the rain couldn't get to us!

HA, in this picture Dan is looking a little crazy from driving 6 hours, up and down tiny little twisting roads in the rain and fog! heheMy little ham! Can you see her three new teeth on the top??? Love her!

Wonderful Weekend!

cool little seat that some mountain bikers made!

There used to be a railroad above this arch. There are little old buildings and stuff all around.

Yes, I realize that I look like a big gray marshmallow but it was really cold! (I was wearing three of Dan's shirts. I feel like they make guys clothes warmer... more about warmth and less about fashion, you know what I mean?)

We had so much fun! Quinn had a blast at her MomMom and PopPop's house. Thank you MomMom and PopPop for EVERYTHING!!

Baby Yoga

So Quinn was accepted into the physical therapy program. We will have the physical therapist come out to our house and work with Quinn. (and with me too). We are also going to a baby yoga class that our physical therapist teaches. It is once a week. The idea of baby yoga is just so cute to me. This week was Quinn's first time at Yoga class. It didn't go so well. She cried for a large part of the hour long class. When she wasn't crying she was clapping. It was so funny. The class is supposed to be calm and relaxing for the kids. It is all songs and stretching. Well, newbie Quinn was so disruptive. (See at home, after every song that I sing to her.. or well actually after everything she does, we praise her and say "yay Quinn" and clap... she normally just screams a little and claps) So this class was supposed to be relaxing and all of the other kids, that have been going for months, were singing along and doing all of the motions. Quinn would cry during the songs/stretches and then clap and yell at the end. All of the other kids then would clap and yell. Great fun. All of the parents were just laughing. The teachers kept on trying to clam down the kids and they even turned off the lights and had us sing softly to our kids. everything got quiet, even Quinn. Then as soon as the song was over, you guessed it, she clapped and screamed again. HA

Randoms

This weekend we decided to go and visit Quinn's Grandparents and cousins. Quinn rode her first Merry-go-Round. (It is indoor.)

When we got back, she was all tuckered out!

Quinn is also getting over a small ear infection from early last week. Here is a picture of her crying one morning after she woke up. I think she is just adorable with her crazy bedhead and that face!

This was from the night before that. I thought it was cute. She always makes these strange faces when she gets really excited! hah!
