Greats

We recently went up to Lancaster and had a visit with Quinn's Great Grandparents. It was so much fun. Quinn just loved all of the attention. Oh and the dinner was great too!

As you can see in these pictures, Quinn was wiggling all over G.Gma.

We had a great time and hopefully we can do it all again soon!

Dan's 31st Birthday!!

So last week was Dan's 31st birthday!!!! He took off work and we hung out around the house and tried as hard as possible to not work on the house. We need some down time. Even though we did do some stuff, we pretty much just enjoyed each other's company. We also went out to eat and got our favorite "crab pretzel"!! yummmmmmmmmmm

Quinn had fun at the restaurant too! She loves meeting new people

Quinn loved having her Daddy home an extra day. I wish he didn't have to work so much because she just LOOOOOOOOVES her Daddy time!

I even let Dan cut my hair. I love the new short and messy style!

Play time for Quinny!

This Wednesday, Quinn and I went to watch/visit with my nieces and nephew while my sis in-law had a dr appt. Boy oh Boy did we have fun. I took some pictures of 3 of the 4 little cuties with Quinn. Zoey (2) was taking a nap at the time. While up there (Lancaster, PA) there was a big storm so NO PLAYING OUTSIDE and the power went out! oh no!!!

We still had a lot of fun and luckily we popped some popcorn right before the power went out :)

This is Jordan, Michaela and Quinny

Isn't Michaela just so pretty?

This is Breanna. She is so happy to have that entire bowl of popcorn to herself! hahaha

I just have the most beautiful nieces and nephew. They are so fun too.

Work in Progress

It started out like this. Yellow slimy walls with tiles that had been painted on with some type of slimy paint. Oh and then there was also sticky and slimy brown cabinets.
Notice the crud on the wall. Seriously, this room was so disgusting.
I hated even breathing in there.

Then we removed the tiles and the cabinet fronts/drawers.
It still looked scary but felt much cleaner. :)

After sanding the cabinets down, I decided that I wanted to paint them.
They now match our coffee container! (notice on shelf)

Then I primed the walls. This step took forever since I had to clean them all off first.
It was just completely horrible. I wore plastic gloves!! :)
We still need to decide what we are going to do for a back splash. Maybe tile? Not too sure, but anything will be better that what it was.
We are going to paint the room a bright white to give it the "clean" feeling that I desire so much.
That is actually what we are doing through out the entire house. We just want it fresh.
I also worked on our back porch. I cleaned it twice with a sponge and bleach and then painted. See the before and after. In person it looks SOOOOO much better. I am very happy with how it turned out. There is nothing better than your morning coffee on a nice white porch with the trees and birdies all around.

More Home Improvements!

I tell you, Dan and I have been doing SO much work. The kitchen used to look like this. It had ulgy slimy painted tiles all over. It also had leaky pipes and a broken garbage disposal.

I broke away all of the tiles.
Dan ran new pipes from the main to the kitchen sink,
put in a new faucet and then replaced the disposal! HARD WORK!

We also painted the downstairs tiny half bath and installed a new light. The paint in the old bath was is HORRIBLE condition with who knows what all over it. Dan picked out the light.
