Happy Girl

Quinn loves the outdoors. She even likes to go and sit on the front porch with me when it is raining. Here she is in all of her glory!

She doesn't quite know what to think about this flower though...

Father's Day

Ok, So I am a little behind with posting this but... Dan had a great Father's Day. Quinn and I wrote him a letter, she made him some new cute fridge art and we took him to Denny's for his favorite French Toast! Quinn also wore this shirt for the whole day.

When Quinn was first born (and I mean like when she was still in the NICU) when people would ask how Quinn was doing, Dan would say that she was great and just said her first words. He would then ALWAYS tell them that she said, "Daddy Perfect". Even though he was being ridiculous, he thought it was hysterical. So I made him a shirt for Quinn to wear. At Denny's, all of the women would come up and wish Dan a Happy Father's Day and then look at Quinn's shirt and either laugh or say oh bother!

loves the... hat??

Quinn is IN LOVE with her new bucket. Yes, I already had to buy an new one since the last one got damaged. Good thing they are only a dollar! She thinks that this one looks nice as a hat. I have since taken off the handle completely. I don't want her to get caught in there. Since Quinn's head is a little.. um.. large, the bucket fits perfectly. She feels like a princess or something. She will walk around for hours straight with this lovely bucket on. I wish she would keep her real hats on for half as long :)

IRON MAIDEN!

Dan and I went with a bunch of friends to see Iron Maiden this week. Ok, so even though I might not be their biggest fan, I had so much fun. I knew enough of the songs that I could sing along and even if I didn't... their show was so entertaining. They had fire, smoke, walking "zombie" things that were like 25 feet tall and even fireworks. It was great! Dan is a HUGE Maiden fan and I am so glad that he got to see them... and only about 20 minutes away from our house!
Here is one of the strange people in the crowd...
there were MANY of them.
When it got dark, his horns glowed! haha

More Failed Picture Attempts!

So I have been trying for a few days now to take a cute picture of Quinn and me together for Dan for Father's Day. It is so ridiculously hard. Here are a few of the attempts.
Here I tried to have us be lions so she would look at the camera... didn't work.

But what a good lion she was being!

Day 2 of trying

This is the best one I think. Just ignore our smashed noses and my manly jawline! :)

After that, she was DONE! no more pictures Mommy!

Spoiled???

When Mom came up to visit, she also brought along some new toys for Quinn. I had been complaining about how Quinn needed new toys... toddler toys. I had been searching for some cheap hands-on toys for a long time. Well, Mom took notes evidently and now Quinn is SET! Mom got Quinn this art easel. Quinn is in love. We are just using huge sidewalk chalk and she thinks that it is pretty cool.
Mom also got Quinn this enormous kitchen! It has so many knobs and doors for her to play with. We have it in our kitchen and Quinn loves to be in there "helping" me. This thing even has like 6 or 7 different noises.

Can't you just tell how much Quinn loves this?!?!
Here she is pretending to be Mommy. A girl has to have her coffee!
Mom also brought up Quinn a huge bin full of BIG LEGO blocks. They are great. Quinn doesn't necessarily "stack" them yet but she loves to hand them to you, guess the color, and have you make her something pretty!

In addition to all ofthe above toys, Mom also brought Quinn a HUGE play vanity with a little stool and a big wheels. We figured that we would hold off giving her ALL of the toys. We are saving the last two items for her birthday.
THANK YOU MOM!!!!!!

Summer Job

Can I just say that I have the best summer job?!?! Little Jackson (Jack) is just adorable and super content. Quinn thinks that it is cool to have him around. He is 6 weeks old now!

Also, look at the adorable video clip below. It is what Quinn did in response to this picture of us:

If you can't get it, she is saying "sshhhh, baby". She did this for about 5 minutes! adorable and yes, those are cds on the floor. She has this small obsession with looking at the backs of them. I guess it is kinda like a mirror.
