3 Years!

This is unfortunately the last picture that we took together- like 3 months ago! I need to get on it :)
We weren't allowed to take cameras with us to the concert.

Dan and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary by attending a concert for one of our favorite artists. Leonard Cohen. We just love his music SO MUCH! We were even going to name Quinn "Cohen" if she was a boy! Ok, so you get it... we really like his music. We had Dan's Mom watch Quinn and Dan and I were able to go out to eat before the show. We saw LC at Merriweather post pavilion- which, you guessed it, is outside. We got the cheapest seats possible and just planned on sitting on the lawn like normal. Well, guess what??? It was POURING RAIN the whole time! Cats and Elephants! Dan and I bought ponchos (mine was a lovely shade of Neon Yellow and Dan's was Neon Blue!) to wear. There was NO WAY we were going to let a little rain stop us from seeing LC. After all, he is old and this will most likely be his last tour.

We were completely soaked. Cold and wet. We sat on the tail ends of our fashionable ponchos and snuggled together to try and stay warm-ish.- All while hoping that the river that was underneath of us wouldn't come through our "expensive" plastic clothes. We laughed the whole time. It was simply WONDERFUL!

While reflecting, I completely realized that if I went to the show with anyone besides Dan, I would have complained the whole time and regretted going. Yet with Dan, I had a blast. It for sure will be one Anniversary present/gift/celebration that I will never forget.

I just love how Dan and I can always have the best time doing anything together... no matter the conditions. I know that I couldn't ask for a better husband and best friend. He makes me laugh and relax, smile and feel important. I look forward to just being with him- for the rest of my life! I love who we are, how we act and the little family that we created.

Perfect Mother's Day

This Mother's Day we all went for a bike ride. Quinn LOVES riding SO MUCH!
We went on the NCR trail.
We rode for about 16 miles. My goal is to ride the WHOLE thing by the end of the summer. It goes all of the way to York, PA. That would be 41 miles each way :)

Funny Things and Updates

Quinn is just so funny right now. She is making up stories. They almost always involve a princess and a snowman :) hehe

She LOVES hockey now too! I might also add that she is a HUGE Penguins fan. This makes my brother happy (he is obsessed with any team from Pittsburgh). The other day Quinn and I were eating dinner and I turned on a game. She saw that the Penguins were playing and she said "oh goody, goody Penguins!" So cute. Then she saw a Penguins player trip a Cap and she clapped her hands and said "oh, that was silly" and started laughing.

We FINALLY got rid of Quinn's bottles. She only had them at night, with water in the them... and most nights, she didn't even touch them. She just felt comforted with them there next to her. Well, enough is enough. So we got her to help us collect them all together to give to the babies that needed them. When she was done putting them all away, Dan took them outside and when he came back in she asked if the babies said thank you.

Quinn's reward for being such a big girl was a pet fish. She got a beta and named him Zzzzs. Not so sure where that name came from but she sure does love him. She talks to him all of the time.
When we first got him Quinn told me that he wanted music. So she brought her chair over to the tank and began to sing to him. Then she jumped up and ran over to her toys and got out her xylophone. The proceeded to pay him a song and sing to him- all smiles.

Quinn likes to whisper- she will talk to you in whispers and when you ask her why she is whispering, she always gets a blank look on her face and then matter-of-factly whispers "I don't know".

Quinn's doctors have finally realized that she has a hard time swallowing thin liquids. She chokes maybe 5-10 times a day while drinking. I have had to keep a "choking diary" for her and finally we have more insight. We are going to have to take her to see a therapist to teach her to swallow. (weird huh??)

We are switching doctors (by choice) for her laryngomalacia /ENT. Her current doctor is the best in the world at what is does, yet he is so busy (and with more pressing cases) that I feel llike we are being put on the back burner. Plus, he keeps on pushing another sleep study for Quinn and well, thats not happening.

Quinn likes to play follow the leader, dance and sing, and anything outside. We are looking forward to the summer -

We are all smiles...

All things FAVORITE

Yes, these are the shoes that Quinn picked out... all on her own... and couldn't understand why I wasn't as excited as she was... and almost had a melt down in the store for... and refused to take them off for the rest of the day. Have I mentioned recently that Quinn has a passion for shoes?
She also loves the park. I know that I have put a billion pictures on of the park but... oh well. She loves it and therefore, I love it. It makes us happy.

Easter

This Easter Quinn was sick so we weren't able to go to visit family on the day of. However, the day before Easter, we went to celebrate with my in-laws. We had a great time. The kids got to have an Easter egg hunt and play lots of games. The weather didn't cooperate too much, but that is ok. We still had a great time.
